Ethics Bowl Team
By involving a food blogger in a deceptive taste test, did a company in question do anything unethical? What obligation does the fashion industry have to promote a healthy body image? Are laws that allow unlimited donations to super-PACs ethical? These and similar questions are asked at Ethics Bowl tournaments.
Ethics Bowl is a nationally recognized competition in which students are provided ethical case studies and must present arguments to a panel of judges and teams from other colleges and universities. The arguments are judged on the students’ use of ethical discovering and decision-making, presentation and the ability to draw out nuances in the cases.
Throughout the years, Ripon College has supported one or two teams in such competition. Ripon’s teams are regional champions and are ranked nationally.
